Process
- Create a storyboard image for each action or significant moment in the script, showing the point of view, desired framing, camera angle, etc. (directorial decisions).
- Include before and after images for quickly occurring actions.
- Include motion arrows, notes on camera movement, sound effects, bits of dialogue, etc.
- Name each image with a sequence number (incremented by 5s or 10s to allow for additions) plus a short description.
For example: 010 laser fire.png
- Show the completed sequence to someone unfamiliar with the story for feedback!
- Refine as needed.
- Record a temporary soundtrack for timing.
- Include audible cues for the start and end of actions.
- Save as a 16-bit WAV file at 44,100 kHz.
- Play the soundtrack, flipping through the images. If any key cues are missing from the soundtrack, re-record.
- Assemble story reel in Blender.
- Export with frame number and time stamp.
- Pull into master blend file as reference, replacing scenes as they are developed.
Files
- Add assets as we develop them.
